Christina Ricci Celebrity Hair Secret: Hairstylist Cheryl Marks has worked on Christina Ricci’s hair recommends parting hair a little off-center.

When you part your hair, you pull the comb from the top of the back of the head, known as the crown,  to your forehead.

To make middle-parted hair more adulatory to all face shapes, be sure to end the part about ¼ inch to ½ inch away from the current center of your head.

Hair Beauty Secrets

Posted in hair care tagged , at 3:56 am by Pretty girl

Here are some secrets and tips to be the  beautiful diva that you can try at home, without spending a fortune in the beauty parlors and wandering from beauty clinics and saloons.

  • A perfect way to get rid of dry, brittle, dull hair is to massage mayonnaise into your hair thoroughly, starting from the roots to the hair ends. Then pile your hair on top of your head and cover them fully with plastic food wrap. Wrap the pre-heated towel around it and keep it on for 10 minutes. This will help in deep-conditioning your hair.

Now, replace the towel with another pre-heated towel and leave it on for 10 minutes too. Now remove all the wraps and shampoo your hair. This cholesterol treatment once a month for your hair is a boon that will keep it soft and shiny.

20 Beauty Secrets Every Teen Should Know – Part 1

Posted in celebrity hair style, hair care, hair style tagged , at 3:35 am by Pretty girl

No, I’m not! I’m not a tomboy! I love my makeup! That’s not true! I’m not a tomboy!” — Hilary Duff, Academy Award-winning actress

There’s nothing worse than getting advice from older people, we know, we know, but the truth is some advice is worth taking and keeping, especially when it comes to fun beauty tips. We’ve been reading fashion magazines and testing beauty products for years. In this time, we’ve read 1000s of beauty tips, tried 1000s of products, but only a few are worth keeping around. So, here we share with you the 20 things we wish we knew when we were teenagers.

  1. Skip the foundation If you have acne the first thing you want to do is slather on the thick foundation. Don’t. Foundation is for women over 35. Not only will it cover up your natural beauty, but foundation on a teenager looks anything but natural. Instead, cover up blemishes with concealer, then follow with a powder or tinted mosturizer. Tinted moisturizers tend to be lighter than heavy foundations.
  2. You pat concealer in, you never rub it in We know this from watching the Tyra Banks show. When applying concealer, put a bit on the pad of your middle finger and pat it in. Never rub. Got acne? Pat the concealer on top of it.
  3. Play up your lips or your eyes, never both If you are wearing heavy eye makeup, go for nude lips with just a bit of gloss. Prefer the drama of dark lipstick? Keep face light (stay away from heavy blush) and wear only mascara on your eyes and a light eyeshadow. Don’t heavily line your eyes. Play up both and you’ll look like a clown. And never, ever line lips in a darker color than your gloss or lipstick.

Meg Ryan’s Curly Hair

Posted in hair style tagged at 10:56 am by Pretty girl

Q: How did they do Meg Ryan’s style in the movie “City of Angels”? I want to try to duplicate that look.

City of Angels A: If you already have very wavy/curly hair of the size of curl Ms. Ryan wore in “City of Angels”, the cut and style are simple. Use a long circle cut, texture the ends using a notching technique and style the hair using a strong hold styling gel and a diffused blow-dry while scrunching the hair to maximize the curl.

If you don’t have the right size or amount of curl, you can get it by using medium sized rollers and doing a spiral wrapped wet set on the cut described above. Use a styling gel or mousse to create hold and once dry, finger comb the hair to style. Follow it up with a light application of smoothing serum to the hands and fingers as you scrunch the curls to give definition and ensure smoothness.

As always, the curl can be made long-lasting and easier to maintain on a daily basis by simply getting a spiral perm on the circle-cut hair.
