How To Create Pin Curls
Curly hair has always been in fashion. While some of the people are blessed with spiraling curls, others have to sit for hours in the parlor, to get the same effect. In this context, pin curls are quite popular. Introduced during the 1920s, they continue to be in fashion till date.
Pin curls can suit almost all the types and textures of hair. They can also be created on all lengths of hair, though they look the best on shorter hair. The best part of pin curls is that you do not have to go to a parlor, to get them fixed. If you want to know how to create pin curls at home, the following instructions will come handy.

Best Methods to Grow Long Hair
There are lots of methods to follow in growing long hair. Some of them are as follows

Shampooing
When shampooing, wet your hair by putting your head under the stream of water and work the water into the hair with straight downward strokes. Pour the shampoo into the palm of your hand, not onto your head, and begin working it into the ends of your hair, moving up toward the crown of your head. Do not scrub at your hair or bunch it up on the top of your head.
When you are ready to rinse, put your head under the stream of water and work the shampoo out of your hair with straight, downward motions of your hands. Keep the hair straight and untangled at all times. (Always make sure you have no tangles in your hair before you get into the shower to shampoo.)
Follow the same downward techniques when gently drying your hair with a towel. Wet hair is very fragile. Pat or squeeze your hair dry with an absorbent towel and then allow the hair to air dry. Avoid wrapping your wet hair in the towel or pushing it up in a turban. Let it hang drown as it dries, perhaps sitting in front of a gentle heat or air source. (Always be aware of where your hair is and never allow it to wander into a heater or fan. Longer hair requires you to be more attentive to your surroundings for your own safety sake.)

Here, Alicia Keys has gone for a look that is sleek and polished and amps up the glam factor with a sleek, shiny finish. To accomplish this sleek look, you want to run some straightening serum through towel-dried hair. Blow dry your hair with a flat paddle brush from roots to tips, and you want to pull your hair straight with the brush and blast the heat directly on the hair shaft. After your blow dry, use a wide flat iron to smooth out your hair and make it sleek along the entire hair shaft.
Once you have gone over your hair with the flat iron, spray some anti-humectant all over your head, and then go over your hair with the flat iron once again. This heat will lock in some shine and also seal the cuticle shaft for a sleek, straight finish. You can finish the look with some glossing serum if you want some extra shine that will last all day.

* Comb freshly washed hair with a wide-toothed comb to remove any tangles. Partially blow-dry your hair to get rid of excess moisture.
* Spray a volumising tonic on your hair, or a handful of mousse spread from tips to ends for extra oomph.
* Pin hair up and take out small sections at a time to blow-dry. Hold the dryer in one hand and a styling brush in the other.
* Place the brush underneath the first section of hair and position it at the roots. Keep the tension on the hair (without tugging too hard) and move the brush down towards the ends, while directing the air flow down the hair, following the movement of the brush.
* Blow-dry using a large, round brush with a metal core. Wind hair completely up the brush, focusing on creating lift at the roots. Gently blast hair with a hair-dryer until dry.
* Curl the brush under at the ends to achieve a slight bend. Continue until the back sections are completely dry and then repeat on the top sections of hair.
* Finish with a light, flexible hairspray.
